Cutting the Cord
I have just sold my house in the UK, which means it will be very difficult to go back and live there for any length of time unless we are offered a fantastic job or win the lottery.
Britain is just too expensive. It has wild, unteachable kids and crap weather. I miss friends, family and the music. We plan to go back every other year for a holiday. Our next visit will be in 2008.
China continues to baffle me, but Jenny is my life and Shanghai is my home. We are buying a house here. It looks like we will be here for at least the next few years. Now that the summer holidays have begun, it’s time to enjoy Shanghai, buy a house, decorate it, write a few blog entries, go to the gym and study Chinese again.
