Yet Another Useless E-book Gadget

Amazon has launched a new E-book reader called Kindle, which is getting a great deal of criticism for being too limited and too expensive. The Kindle is a $400 device that is the size of a small handbook, weighing just 300 grammes, but it can be used to store and read upto 200 e-books that you can buy and download from Amazon. You can see how it works by looking at the video, but I’d like to chip in by wishing for a $99 version of this product that can be used to view pdfs and open document formats without any DRM. Imagine students and teachers loading this with all their textbooks, but do we really need to carry around yet another device? I feel more inclined to save my pennies for an Asus Eeepc that does much more for the same price.
